And he plays ball
Crowdsourcing is not about technology, Jeff Howe claims. Crowdsourcing is about the human behaviour engendered by technology. The resources in a crowdsourced business model are organically distributed. Clients become resources when they start participating in the development and creation of products. Technology is democratizing commerce. And crowdsourcing represents a radical shift in how many industries – especially those trafficking in information – do their work.
Combining business model design thinking with crowdsourcing, a typical value proposition will become more dimensional. Participation, inspiration, pleasure and rewards are all in the combined crowdsourcing and business modelling game.
